Learn how the Buy Table acts as your purchasing command center, telling you exactly what to buy and when.
The Buy Table is your purchasing command center. It acts as a highly intelligent filter, cutting through the noise of your entire catalog to show you exactly what needs attention, when to buy it, and how much to order.
1. The Intelligence Engine
Stratagem doesn't just look at current stock; it looks at the future. The system uses advanced logic to calculate the optimal time to purchase based on your real Shopify sales history.
How Recommendations Work
The system constantly balances two opposing forces:
- Demand (Sales Velocity): How fast you are selling, weighted to prioritize recent trends.
- Supply (Lead Time + Safety Stock): How long it takes to get new stock, plus a safety buffer you define.
The Result: A precise "Reorder Point." When your stock dips below this calculated threshold, the item automatically appears in your Buy Table with a recommended order quantity.

This is not just a list of low stock items; it's a visual dashboard for decision-making.
Visualizing the Need
For every product, you can see a visual representation of:
- Current Sales Velocity: The speed at which stock is depleting.
- Incoming Purchase Orders: Stock that is already on the way.
This context helps you trust the recommendation. You aren't just blindly ordering; you're seeing the data that supports the decision.
Status Indicators
- Stock Gap Critical: You are projected to run out of stock before a new shipment can arrive. Consider air freight.
- Running Low Action Required: You are entering your safety stock buffer. Order now to ensure continuous availability.
- OK Healthy: You have sufficient coverage. No action needed.
3. Active Inventory Management
You have full control over what appears in this view.
Managing Reorder Status
Not every item needs to be restocked forever. You can toggle the Reordering Status for any SKU:
- Active: The item is monitored, and recommendations will be generated.
- Ignored: The item is hidden from the Buy Table recommendations. Use this for seasonal items, one-off drops, or discontinued products to keep your purchasing list clean.
4. Creating Purchase Orders
Designed for efficiency, the Buy Table enables "One-Click" purchasing.
Workflow
- Filter: Use the quick filters to view "Stock Gap" or "Running Low" items.
- Select: Check the boxes for the items you want to replenish.
- Create: Click the Create PO button.
- Done: The system automatically groups selected items by Supplier and generates draft POs for each vendor, populated with the recommended quantities (respecting MOQs).
