Automation & Workflow
Automate your decision-making processes and scale without adding headcount using the Launch Planner.
Stratagem isn't just about tracking what you have; it's about automating the decisions of what to do next. The Automation and Launch Planner modules help you scale without adding headcount.
1. The Launch Planner
Planning a new product drop involves complex timing. The Launch Planner reverse-engineers your deadlines to tell you exactly when to order.
How it Works
- Create Event: Click New Product Release.
- Details: Enter the Launch Name (e.g., "Summer '26 Drop") and Target Launch Date.
- Add Products: Select the variants involved in this launch.
- The Magic: Stratagem calculates backward from your Launch Date, factoring in Lead Times and Production constraints, to give you an "Order By" Date.
If you are past the safe ordering window, the system flags the item as Critical.
2. Automation Rules (Order Tagging)
Stratagem can automatically tag orders in Shopify based on inventory status, helping your fulfillment team prioritize or hold orders.
Common Use Cases
- Pre-Order Tagging: Automatically tag any order containing a product with 0 stock as "Pre-Order".
- Split Shipments: Identify orders that are partially in-stock vs. fully out-of-stock.
- High Value: Tag orders over a certain dollar amount for VIP handling.
3. Notifications & Alerts
Configure how and when you want to be notified.
- Low Stock Alerts: Receive an email summary of items that hit their reorder point.
- PO Updates: Get notified when a supplier updates an ETA or marks an order as Shipped.
💡 Expert Tips
- Buffer Your Launches: In the Launch Planner, always set your "Target Date" a few days *before* the actual marketing launch to account for receiving delays.
- Review Automation: Periodically check your Shopify orders to ensure tags are applying as expected. Rules logic can sometimes conflict if not set up carefully.
